Donation to Support Dritan Agalliu's Lab
Please join us in supporting a vital part of our PANDAS/PANS research community, Dr. Ugur Akcan. Dr. Akcan is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Neurology at Columbia University working in the lab of Dr. Dritan Agalliu. He lost his federal funding for his fellowship and is at risk of being terminated. We can’t lose vital researchers at the forefront of PANDAS/PANS discoveries. Dr. Akcan is part of an ongoing study of understanding the relationship between the immune system and neurological disorders. Please help us in ensuring this vital research is not stopped!
Speaking at the Massachusetts State House
On Monday, June 30th, the Look. Foundation stood alongside powerful voices at the Massachusetts State House to advocate for two urgent PANS/PANDAS bills. S.1415 – A prevalence study of PANS/PANDAS in children under DMH and DOE care. H.1249 / S.805 – Required medical rule‑outs and annual screenings for earlier intervention. Thank you to Senator Patrick O’Connor and Representative Kate Lipper‑Garabedian for championing this cause. Look. was honored to be part of such an incredible, historic day.

Board Member, Sheilah Guach, Presenting in Canada
We’re incredibly proud of Look. Board Member Sheilah Gauch, LICSW, M.Ed who was invited to join the world’s leading experts in PANS/PANDAS at the Inflamed Brain Alliance’s inaugural conference. Sheilah shared her expertise as a mental health professional through both panel discussions and a powerful talk titled "Transforming Care for PANS/PANDAS: Shifting Mindsets, Strengthening Supports, and Sparking Change." In her presentation, she shed light on the trauma many families experience, the importance of advocacy, and the urgency of breaking down silos between medical and mental health professionals to create true, lasting healing.
